Il poss\u00e8de plusieurs caract\u00e9ristiques essentielles telles que l'absence d'odeur, la non-toxicit\u00e9 et la l\u00e9g\u00e8ret\u00e9 de sa texture. Compar\u00e9 \u00e0 d'autres mat\u00e9riaux r\u00e9sineux d'usage g\u00e9n\u00e9ral, il est le plus l\u00e9ger par unit\u00e9 de masse et pr\u00e9sente des propri\u00e9t\u00e9s exceptionnelles d'absorption et de r\u00e9tention de l'eau.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Outre le polyacrylate de sodium, divers autres mat\u00e9riaux sont utilis\u00e9s dans la production de polym\u00e8res superabsorbants. Il s'agit notamment du copolym\u00e8re de polyacrylamide, du copolym\u00e8re d'anhydride mal\u00e9ique et d'\u00e9thyl\u00e8ne, de la carboxym\u00e9thylcellulose r\u00e9ticul\u00e9e, des copolym\u00e8res d'alcool polyvinylique, de l'oxyde de poly\u00e9thyl\u00e8ne r\u00e9ticul\u00e9 et du copolym\u00e8re de polyacrylonitrile greff\u00e9 \u00e0 l'amidon, entre autres. Ce dernier, le copolym\u00e8re de polyacrylonitrile greff\u00e9 \u00e0 l'amidon, est l'une des premi\u00e8res formes de SAP \u00e0 avoir \u00e9t\u00e9 mises au point.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Principe<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le principe d'absorption de l'eau de la r\u00e9sine polyacrylique diff\u00e8re consid\u00e9rablement de celui des autres d\u00e9shydratants. Elle a la capacit\u00e9 d'absorber l'eau des centaines de fois son propre poids, ce qui entra\u00eene la formation d'un gel. La structure de ce gel est d\u00e9termin\u00e9e par les propri\u00e9t\u00e9s de r\u00e9ticulation de la r\u00e9sine polyacrylique, ce qui garantit que l'eau ne peut pas \u00eatre expuls\u00e9e ou s'\u00e9couler au-del\u00e0 d'un seuil de pression sp\u00e9cifique.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Par cons\u00e9quent, les polym\u00e8res d'acide polyacrylique sont des mat\u00e9riaux appropri\u00e9s pour synth\u00e9tiser des polym\u00e8res superabsorbants. Les capacit\u00e9s d'absorption d'eau de ces polym\u00e8res ne d\u00e9pendent pas uniquement des mat\u00e9riaux utilis\u00e9s, mais sont \u00e9galement influenc\u00e9es par le processus de synth\u00e8se des polym\u00e8res superabsorbants.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Le processus de production de la r\u00e9sine superabsorbante suit plusieurs \u00e9tapes cl\u00e9s<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Pr\u00e9paration des ingr\u00e9dients :<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">De l'acide acrylique de qualit\u00e9 industrielle, de l'hydroxyde de sodium, du persulfate de sodium comme initiateur et du divinylbenz\u00e8ne comme agent de r\u00e9ticulation sont pr\u00e9par\u00e9s pour la polym\u00e9risation chimique.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Distillation du polypropyl\u00e8ne :<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le polypropyl\u00e8ne de qualit\u00e9 industrielle subit une distillation sous pression r\u00e9duite afin d'\u00e9viter sa d\u00e9gradation pendant le stockage et le transport. Un inhibiteur de polym\u00e9risation est ajout\u00e9 pour maintenir ses propri\u00e9t\u00e9s de polym\u00e9risation. La distillation n\u00e9cessite l'\u00e9vacuation de l'air du syst\u00e8me pour \u00e9viter d'atteindre le point d'\u00e9bullition du polypropyl\u00e8ne en raison de sa r\u00e9sistance aux basses temp\u00e9ratures.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Pr\u00e9paration de la solution alcaline :<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">L'hydroxyde de sodium de qualit\u00e9 industrielle est dissous dans de l'eau distill\u00e9e pour \u00e9liminer les impuret\u00e9s susceptibles d'affecter le processus de polym\u00e9risation du polypropyl\u00e8ne. La solution filtr\u00e9e qui en r\u00e9sulte sert de solution alcaline pour la polym\u00e9risation en masse.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Neutralisation :<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le polypropyl\u00e8ne distill\u00e9 est lentement ajout\u00e9 \u00e0 la solution d'hydroxyde de sodium pour la neutraliser. La neutralisation optimale se produit \u00e0 des temp\u00e9ratures comprises entre 10 et 50\u00b0C, l'\u00e9change d'ions produisant du sel de polypropyl\u00e8ne et de l'eau. Les r\u00e9actifs sont dos\u00e9s avec soin pour garantir une r\u00e9action et une consommation compl\u00e8tes.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Polym\u00e9risation :<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Apr\u00e8s neutralisation, du persulfate de sodium et du divinylbenz\u00e8ne sont ajout\u00e9s pour initier la polym\u00e9risation du sel de polypropyl\u00e8ne. La polym\u00e9risation se produit \u00e0 des temp\u00e9ratures ambiantes inf\u00e9rieures \u00e0 60\u00b0C pendant environ 2 heures, suivies d'une augmentation de la temp\u00e9rature \u00e0 70\u00b0C pendant plus de 3 heures pour former un gel de sel de polypropyl\u00e8ne. Chaque m\u00e9thode offre des avantages distincts et permet d'obtenir des produits de qualit\u00e9 diff\u00e9rente.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Polym\u00e9risation du gel<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La polym\u00e9risation en gel par la m\u00e9thode de l'\u00e9mulsion inverse consiste \u00e0 transformer le polypropyl\u00e8ne brut en un solvant. Pour ce faire, le polypropyl\u00e8ne est dissous dans un solvant non polaire, qui agit comme un agent de dissolution, avec un agent actif huileux pour cr\u00e9er un solvant huileux. Un initiateur et un agent de r\u00e9ticulation sont ensuite ajout\u00e9s \u00e0 cette solution au cours du processus.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La pr\u00e9paration des mati\u00e8res premi\u00e8res suit l'approche consistant \u00e0 combiner \"monom\u00e8re de polypropyl\u00e8ne + solvant huileux contenant un initiateur et un agent de r\u00e9ticulation + lessive\". La solution obtenue, compos\u00e9e de polyacrylate insoluble, sert de support au processus de polym\u00e9risation du gel.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Description de la m\u00e9thode\uff1a<br \/>La m\u00e9thode consiste \u00e0 m\u00e9langer de l'acide acrylique congel\u00e9, de l'eau, des agents de r\u00e9ticulation et des initiateurs UV, qui sont ensuite d\u00e9pos\u00e9s sur un tapis roulant ou dans de grandes cuves. Ce m\u00e9lange liquide est transf\u00e9r\u00e9 dans un \"r\u00e9acteur\", une longue chambre \u00e9quip\u00e9e de puissantes lampes UV qui stimulent les r\u00e9actions de polym\u00e9risation et de r\u00e9ticulation. Les \"billes\" de gel collant qui en r\u00e9sultent contiennent de 60 \u00e0 70% d'eau.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ces billes sont ensuite d\u00e9chiquet\u00e9es ou broy\u00e9es et transf\u00e9r\u00e9es dans divers types de s\u00e9choirs. Des agents de r\u00e9ticulation suppl\u00e9mentaires peuvent \u00eatre appliqu\u00e9s \u00e0 la surface des particules par le biais d'une \"r\u00e9ticulation de surface\", ce qui am\u00e9liore la capacit\u00e9 du produit \u00e0 gonfler sous la pression, une caract\u00e9ristique mesur\u00e9e comme l'absorption sous charge (AUL) ou l'absorption contre la pression (AAP). Apr\u00e8s s\u00e9chage, les particules de polym\u00e8re sont cribl\u00e9es pour garantir une distribution granulom\u00e9trique ad\u00e9quate avant d'\u00eatre emball\u00e9es.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La m\u00e9thode de polym\u00e9risation en gel (GP) est actuellement la technique la plus utilis\u00e9e pour produire des polym\u00e8res superabsorbants \u00e0 base de polyacrylate de sodium que l'on retrouve dans les couches pour b\u00e9b\u00e9s et autres produits d'hygi\u00e8ne jetables.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Avantage<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">L'un des avantages de la m\u00e9thode de polym\u00e9risation par \u00e9mulsion inverse est qu'elle cr\u00e9e une \u00e9mulsion en m\u00e9langeant le solvant non polaire contenant le polypropyl\u00e8ne dissous avec le solvant huileux contenant l'initiateur et l'agent de r\u00e9ticulation. Cette \u00e9mulsion permet au polyacrylate de se polym\u00e9riser sur la couche externe du solvant polypropyl\u00e8ne, formant une structure \"huile dans l'eau\" qui facilite le processus de polym\u00e9risation du polyacrylate.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La structure \"huile dans l'eau\" isole efficacement la performance libre du polyacrylate, ce qui lui permet de subir une fonction de polym\u00e9risation unique. Cela acc\u00e9l\u00e8re la vitesse de r\u00e9action du polyacrylate, rendant la vitesse de pr\u00e9paration de la polym\u00e9risation en \u00e9mulsion inverse cinq fois plus rapide que celle de la polym\u00e9risation en solution.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En outre, la pr\u00e9sence du milieu de dispersion facilite non seulement le transfert de chaleur et le contr\u00f4le de la temp\u00e9rature, mais permet \u00e9galement la polym\u00e9risation de la r\u00e9sine superabsorbante dans des conditions de basse temp\u00e9rature. Cette m\u00e9thode permet de surmonter les limitations de temp\u00e9rature g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement associ\u00e9es aux mat\u00e9riaux de r\u00e9sine polyacrylique.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En outre, la phase huileuse utilis\u00e9e dans la polym\u00e9risation en \u00e9mulsion inverse peut \u00eatre r\u00e9utilis\u00e9e plusieurs fois. Bien qu'elle ne permette pas de r\u00e9aliser les m\u00eames \u00e9conomies que la polym\u00e9risation en masse, elle r\u00e9sout le probl\u00e8me du gaspillage excessif de l'initiateur et de l'agent de r\u00e9ticulation, r\u00e9duisant ainsi les inefficacit\u00e9s en termes de co\u00fbts.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Polym\u00e9risation en suspension<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La polym\u00e9risation en suspension partage un principe similaire \u00e0 celui de la polym\u00e9risation en gel, en particulier en ce qui concerne l'utilisation d'un dispersant pour faciliter le transfert de chaleur, la variation du contr\u00f4le de la temp\u00e9rature et l'acc\u00e9l\u00e9ration de la vitesse de r\u00e9action de la polym\u00e9risation.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cependant, la diff\u00e9rence essentielle r\u00e9side dans l'utilisation des phases : La polym\u00e9risation en suspension utilise la phase aqueuse comme phase s\u00e9par\u00e9e et la phase huileuse comme phase continue. Elle suspend le dispersant, dissous dans le polypropyl\u00e8ne, sous forme de gouttelettes \u00e0 la surface de la phase huileuse, o\u00f9 la r\u00e9action de polym\u00e9risation a lieu \u00e0 l'int\u00e9rieur de ces gouttelettes en suspension.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Comme la polym\u00e9risation en gel, la polym\u00e9risation en suspension transf\u00e8re efficacement la chaleur du site de r\u00e9action gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la conductivit\u00e9 thermique du dispersant. Ainsi, la r\u00e9action de polym\u00e9risation n'est pas limit\u00e9e par les conditions de temp\u00e9rature. Pendant la polym\u00e9risation, la faible viscosit\u00e9 des substances alcalines et du polypropyl\u00e8ne minimise la r\u00e9tention des impuret\u00e9s qui n'ont pas r\u00e9agi.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Avantage<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">L'un des avantages de la polym\u00e9risation en suspension par rapport \u00e0 la polym\u00e9risation en gel est la facilit\u00e9 de r\u00e9cup\u00e9ration du solvant par distillation, avec la possibilit\u00e9 de recycler plusieurs fois la phase huileuse avec un impact minimal sur l'environnement.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dans la polym\u00e9risation en suspension, le r\u00e9actif \u00e0 base d'eau est mis en suspension dans un solvant \u00e0 base d'hydrocarbures. Cette m\u00e9thode permet la formation de particules de polym\u00e8re primaire directement dans le r\u00e9acteur, plut\u00f4t que par des processus m\u00e9caniques dans des \u00e9tapes post\u00e9rieures \u00e0 la r\u00e9action.
